Compare Two PDF Files — Find Every Difference

See exactly what changed between two versions of a PDF: word-level text differences and side-by-side page previews. Free, private, in your browser.

Got a revised contract or report back and need to know exactly what changed? Upload both versions and get a page-by-page comparison: removed words in red, added words in green, plus side-by-side previews of every changed page. Everything runs in your browser — neither file is ever uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of differences does it find?

It compares the extracted text of each page at word level — removed, added, and changed words — and flags pages that exist in only one of the files. Every changed page also gets a side-by-side visual preview.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

The comparison relies on the text inside the file. If your PDF is a scan with no text layer, run it through the OCR tool first, then compare the output.

Are my files uploaded?

No — the comparison happens locally in your browser with JavaScript; neither file leaves your device.

Is there a page limit?

No hard limit, but very large files take longer since all the processing happens on your own machine.
